Birch Bark Canoe Build Photo Update

     It's been a wild few weeks. I picked up my friends Robin and JoJo Wood almost 3 weeks ago. We turned a few bowls together, forged a pile of hook tools, Robin taught a turning class at North House, We attended The Spoon Gathering in Milan, MN, and collected the materials and built a 14 ft birch bark canoe. JoJo helped with all this and carved 30 spoons as well. I've had a hard time finding the time to reflect and write about any of it. Robin has kept up on updating his blog with the process so check it out here. I'll be writing an epic post or two this coming week detailing the process and the experiences we've had.
